Pandan Kaya by Breadmaker

Yeah... I finally made the Pandan kaya using my breadmaker!! My adapted recipe can be found here. Used to make it by hand and had to stand on the stove for at least an hour +. Now, no more standing and stirring for my kaya. :)

Just follow the direction in the recipe and then sifted twice before adding it in the breadmaker and turn the menu to jam function and let it does the work.

When the kaya was done by the breadmaker.

Pour the kaya into a blender and blend until smooth.  This is an optional step, it depends on how smooth you like your kaya or prefer it to be more original.

Then, store in a glass jar and in the refrigerator. Should be able to keep in the refrigerator for up to a month. This is a good kaya recipe, yummy indeed!

Thanks Lin, any help is a plus in the kitchen. :)

Connie and Tunasushi,
No wonder I couldn't get what you meant by liquid separated and scrambled eggs. Hahaha... Mine looks just like kaya after it was done by the breadmaker, just got a little lumps here and there.

Thanks ellena mummy!

Using Bread maker for kaya, what a good idea. I think I should invest in one, What type or brand of Breadmaker you have?

Pei2,
I got a Sunbeam that comes with 12 functions. I got mine at Walmart for only $40. It's a good price if you ask me. :)

3ds,
I have to be creative with my cooking, if not I will get bored. LOL!

Hey Connie...belacan.....

I have the same prob as connie.....and even when I blend it, the next day after staying in the fridge it becomes extremely thick again......sigh

Amrita,
Hmmm...don't know how to help you with that, since you encountered the same problem as Connie, perhaps you is better to answer your question.

Mine after in the fridge, still as smooth like the one in my picture. The consistency is like kaya spread, not thick.

babe_kl,

Hmmm...I have no idea. But the most important is to find a breadmaker that has dough and jam functions.
