Cheap Sushi Lunch
Want to eat some sushi but too lazy to make your own? Want to save some money instead of going to the restaurant? Well, you can buy this at Cosco for $5.65 each at my area. It is definitely double the amount that we found at other supermarket. Furthermore, it is very fresh. If you look closely at the picture, my hubby already stole a piece of the sushi before I could take a picture. LOL! Beachlover, told you you made me want to eat some sushi the cheap and lazy way. :P
Instead of eating out, sometimes we just buy this prepared meal at Cosco, like sushi, pizza or rotisserie chicken. It is way cheaper than dining out in a restaurant these days.

wow.... sushi!! I can eat them in one minutes:) you know I don't like make sushi as probably I am the only one in the family like eating this.
Ya, I look Costco sushi for the price and convenience :) I miss Costco leh...the window shopping part. :(
i know wat u mean! and i tried this sushi b4 from Costco, it is the same rate selling over here in CA.However, both me and hubby found the the Costco sold sushi is a bit at the sweet side, and the sushi rice is as sticky as glutinious rice indeed. Off cause, the california roll with the avocado in it always make up my days:) Do u buy Frozen/marinated Unagi in Asian stores and serve it hot wif jasmine rice? it is as delicious as unagi sushi. Aiyo, Yum yum...
Ching, the sushi surely looks delicious. It's true that it is so much cheaper than to go to a restaurant.
Simple and nice, and in a whole lot bunch:)
Yes BBOven, but I'm not crazy about sushi. :P
Dwiana, I don't make sushi either, that's why I buy them. My elder girl won't touch it at all.
Tigerfish, I have mix feeling about Cosco. LOL!
Gigi, I don't know how to buy frozen Unagi. Not familiar in that part. :P
Yes hugbear & Christy. :)
ching
i am more lucky than you, i get my sushi free from Mark Pi's, Parker. Remember the ones you ate at sumi's - i love those spider rolls - the soft shell crabs are to die for.
wow!!that price is really cheap!! it's amust buy price! also do need to wet your hands and do extra work, right?.good choice! it's both platter sold at same price?I mean the one with crab and spicy tuna roll alos at $5.95?.anyway,I think they coated with lot-lot of rice!! I still prefer maki/roll with less rice.Sometimes, when I order from restaurant I request LESS rice that mean more "liu" indise leh!lol!I know you don't eat raw sushi but you can buy roasted eel at frozen section and make you own sushi at home.it's not much work, just cook some sushi rice, toasted the roasted eel for 3-5 minutes in toaster and make a Unagi don(eel cover wt rice over a bowl)wah...lah!!a luxury sushi meal at home!
oh my, they look great... :)
Wow wow, nice. I love the fish plates. Must keep. ;)
I love sushi. All you can eat sushi in Hamburg costed 15 Euro, my oldest son like to there with some friends.
Lucky you, Lily. I love that soft shell crab sushi too. YUM YUM!
Yes, beachlover, both are same price, $5.65 only. Will look for frozen eel when I'm in oriental store since you said only need to toast a little while in the oven.
Yeah mikky.
Sig, fish plates already in the trash since I don't make sushi. Hmmm...but can put cut out kuih and bring to a potluck hor?
Retno, that's reasonable price.
I've never tried Costco sushi. Will have to try them out next time. But I always get their rotisserie chicken & pizza. So cheap, hor? :)
We also bought from Costco too. But I have to admit that they are not that tasty. Probably it's only in my area. Agree with Gigi that the rice is sticky that we are not sure if it's going bad or not. Hahaha!
Ya lor, can use for anything. Is nice. Keep next time.
