Baked Sea Scallops

I saw this recipe at Big Boys Kitchen and decided to give it a try since I just bought some sea scallops. I have not try steaming scallops before so this easy method really interest me. However instead of steaming, I just baked it in the oven because this is easiest as I don't have to wash the steamer. :P I was contemplating of whether to steam it in the oven or bake it and ended out baking this little babies.

Ready to bake in the oven.

All ready to be eaten!

I baked mine in preheated 450'F oven for 8-10 minutes. Do not overcook the scallop as it would get tough.

Thanks to chef. Steven as now I found a new and healthier way to enjoy the sea scallops. :o)

Have not tried this method before...sounds easy.

I like pan-seared scallops that will give a little charred surface on the scallops. But that, will have to wash pots and pans....this one, NO NEED!

I will remember this when I am lazy yet when I want "good food"!

your scallops look just as nice as chef Steven's steam ones....and to have such big scallops over here are very expensive....is it cheap over there..?

Rita,
Try it, fairly easy to prepare. ;)

Tigerfish,
Yeah, it was my first time cooking it this way too and totally loved it. Next time I will play with the different topping. :)

Oh thank you sweet Jasmine. :D Normally the sea scallops (jumbo size one) are very expensive when it's not on sales. I bought it on sales for $7/lb (about 8-10 pieces depending on the size). :)

Me too D! Love it in the seafood horfun too. ;)

Yeah SueSue, sea scallop is expensive but bay scallop is not too bad, just that can't really get satisfaction out of eating it. :P

You're welcome dwiana. You can certainly play with different topping that your hubby likes.
