Cornflakes Cookies without Flour

If you are my avid reader or someone who have tried my Chinese New Year cookie recipes, you should know I have been making cornflakes cookies for years. The one that uses flour and oil/butter. This year I wanted to try something different. Cornflakes cookies without flour and I am still experimenting with the recipe. Let me perfect it first before I share it with you because I am having problem for some to stick together. I ended out creating another version of this cookies, the chocolate covered cornflakes cookies which is equally delicious if not more.

Sharing pictures of this delicious treat for now. Recipe will be share once I perfected it. First, I need to go buy more cornflakes cereal.

Hi!

I'm not sure exactly what kind of taste you're looking out for, but i attempted one last year which i used honey to help it stick together =)

Thanks Sook.

Thanks Youfei for the link. Your recipe has the same ingredients as the original recipe that I have but I omitted honey for mine and half of it won't stick. :P It was really sweet even without me adding honey, but so yummy though, the buttery smell is really fragrant.

Thanks BBOven, now I know this is your favorite cookies. Hehe...

Thanks Tracie.

Sweet Jasmine, this is not healthy lah, has butter and sugar in it. Or you can refer to youfei's link for her recipe first.

Thanks Sonia, will try to play around with the recipe some more.

Thanks Tigerfish. Can't say it's better, this cookies not very healthy.

Thanks Cuen.

I like your latest cookies. :) I'm just starting to make CNY cookies this year - starting with pineapple tarts. LOL! Been dreaming about them lately.

Honey is the "binding" ingredient in this recipe.. by omitting it, i'm not sure wad else can help it keep together... try harder and do post the outcome!

F4T, coming up next! So that you ladies can make it in time for CNY. :)

Coming up dream come true! :)

Good for you cooking ninja! I love pineapple tart, supposed to start today but got caught up, probably tomorrow. :P

Agreed Baking Fiend, I tried it with honey the 2nd time and it worked, will post the recipe in my next post. :)
