Since a few of you asked me about green tea powder, I thought I just post up a picture for you to see. So that whenever you are back in M'sia/S'pore you can go buy it yourself or ask someone to buy and ship it to you. :) This is the one I have been using and I really like the green tea fragrant it has.
yep this green tea powder is wonderful for baking, I miss it so much! I gotta get alot when I go back home :))
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photo.
ReplyDeleteNow I have another item to get when I get back there! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pic. Will have to have my sis send me some!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome, ladies! :)
ReplyDeleteHi LCOM,
ReplyDeleteI am in KL now and I wanted to get this green tea powder. Can you please tell me where you got this one?
I found a shop that sells (in packet form), but the are selling it for RM$90 for 500g.
Appreciate it.
Thanks!
Tricia
Hi Tricia,
ReplyDeleteYou can buy it at (Chang Tung)
26, Jln ss 24/13, Taman Megah, 47301 P.J. Last year it was selling at $12.90 I think.
Or walk up a few shops to
(Bake with Yen)
6, Jln ss 24/13, Taman Megah, 47301 P.J.
They sell a different type, no brand green tea powder for cheap, I think a bottle only $4.90.
You can buy lots of baking supplies from these two shops in Petaling Jaya.
Happy Shopping!
Thanks for the info. Will check out those shops this Thu. I hope I can get the Bahlu mould (non-stick) there, too.
ReplyDeleteHi LCOM,
ReplyDeleteWent to the shops today. Bake with Yen was out of it. Chang Tung has the green tea powder for $12.90 for 37g.
I managed to buy some Ang Ku moulds there!
Thanks for telling me of the stores.
You are welcome Tricia. These two shops are where I shop when I go back. :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteDo you know where in the Penang/Butterworth area I can find this green tea powder? Is it sold in supermarket like Jusco/Giant/wet market? A friend is going back to Msia and I am asking her to get it for me. Thanks!
Hi Anon,
ReplyDeleteSorry I have no idea. You should be able to get it in bakery shop but not Giant/Jusco/wet market. Go to Jo Deli & Bakery on my right panel, under Recipes Site. I think her Webpage has a page with a list of bakery shops in M'sia & S'pore, go look for it.
I used the green tea powder from 'Ten Ren USA', absolutely awesome for baking as well.
