My GoldFish Wantons
After seeing the Goldfish wantons at LeeLee's blog, I just have to try it. I love the idea of using the springroll wrapper and make it looks like little goldfishes, aren't they cute?Oops, just noticed that mine look slightly different from hers because I didn't fold the meat into half. I forgot to recheck her pictures before I stated making mine, anyway still look good hor?
This is the closed up. I didn't have anything to use as garnish, so just simply borrowed the spring onions that was meant for stir-frying my bean sprouts.
Hi Ching,
ReplyDeleteLovely goldfish wontons there! How appropriate for CNY!
I finally finished reading your archived posts & know your name. I hope I get it right this time. You are such a tremendous cook! You remind me of a very good friend of mine, Annie, also from Malayasia who cook both Malalysian (she's Indonesian/Penang Nyonya heritage) & American food effortlessly!
I'm going to try your kuih bangkit (my favorite) & pineapple tarts soon. I appreciate that you converted the recipes metric measurement to American & make it easier for newbies like us.
Thanks!
Kat
So cute, first time I see goldfish wantons..hehe!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat. :) I hope you also find success in making the KB and pineapple tarts. I substituted the cornflour with custard powder for my P.Tarts and it's so fragrant and yummy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lin, I thought they are so cute too! :)
