Whole Wheat Bread with Raisins and Almonds



Just as the name implied. I was trying out a different way to make my whole wheat dough.




This is the closed up of the bread. I found bread making is really fun, all sort of ways to play with the dough. If you can imagine it, you can make it!

So true!! I made something similar yesterday as well!! hehehe...talk about coincidence, I got mine from Martha Steward baking book...somehow I didn't get that nice shape as yours, how did you get that nice shape??

Buzz2, don't know leh. I just spread the raisin and almonds onto the dough and rolled it up swiss roll style. Oh, I did spread a layer of honey so that the raisin and almond would stick to the dough when I rolled.

Thanks Diddy! Well, I didn't do anything different this time. I used the same dough that I made with my Mexican buns.

Actually I stop buying bread and making my own instead. Thus, more bread/bun pictures to share. :P

Hi Anon,

Just substitute the bread flour with whole wheat flour and white sugar with brown sugar. If you read my previous post, I already mentioned how I made my whole wheat bread.

Then roll the dough in rectangle shape, brush it with honey and spread raisin and almond on top and roll it up swissroll style and let it proof til double in size and bake in the oven accordingly.

Yes, some of my pictures don't come with recipes since this is not exactly a food blog. Just sharing what I cooked and baked sometimes. :)
